Still/Life Contemporary Dutch Photography Art Exhibition
由荷兰阿姆斯特丹FOAM博物馆与中国重庆星汇当代美术馆联合主办的 静物--荷兰当代摄影展。该展览全部作品均出自荷兰当代摄影家之手，这是一系列关于静物这个概念的摄影群展。从古典时期的花朵水果到现代主义时期的极简工业制品，静物就是作为道具来佐证生活并以此来象征隐喻生活的这类题材就被不断的重新演绎的摄影经典类型，对静物的关注为荷兰年轻一代的摄影师们提供了一个关于当代视觉概念的形式思考的途径。在这里不光只是对于物体形象观看的讨论，而更多是注入对当代议题和形式语言的思考。并结合了空间，实体，图像，色彩，光线，几何抽象结构，从生活现场之物到图像之变再转换到艺术现场，并且通过录像，装置，在展览现场的并置组合，运用幽默，诙谐调侃的手法创造出一种明显带有荷兰摄影的可辨识性的观看视觉和清新风格，也让荷兰摄影师们的创意和影响力也由此获得了国际荣誉和更多的关注。
静物画与风俗画作为日常生活之物被歌颂赞美，一直是荷兰艺术以来的精神传统和文化遗产，从17世纪开始的荷兰绘画就一直延续着这样的价值理念。当民主与自由摆脱了教会与宫廷的束缚，就更加投入对世俗生活之物的赞美和人性自由解放的讴歌，当器皿贝壳花朵水果不再是人物的点缀背景，不再是圣徒盘中餐的时候，它就成为静物主体的独立存在，重新获得自由的审美和生活的赞许肯定。对世俗生活的热爱和激情如同荷兰金色的郁金香一样浓烈和热情。哈尔斯，伦勃朗，维米尔是17世纪以来荷兰画派中最杰出的艺术家代表。他们秉承着佛兰德斯绘画历史的鲁本斯，勃鲁盖尔的影响与继承。肖像，静物和风俗风景描写是荷兰人民对其国民性气质最好的表达。乐观良善，勇敢快乐而且浪漫，对愉快而平凡之物的赞美和骄傲。对物品的超越伦常道德的维度上升到文化审美的层次，使得物脱离了日常之物的附属，从而获得了主体性的独立价值。土豆这件静物摄影作品甚至让我们想起荷兰著名画家梵高的画作：吃土豆的人，作品风格一脉相承的延续了荷兰风俗绘画艺术中对现实生活关注的历史。并为之成为现实主义的寓言，土豆这个庸常的生活食物被像一个当代经典的高级珠宝产品那样慎重对待，它引导的是人们对于偶然的，无诗意存在的凝视关注，让那些平庸生活之物的日常之美再回到息息相关的生活现场重新获得对世俗的尊重。静物摄影里面的物不管是具象到抽象之物发现生活之善，生活之真，对细节的传承，注重过程，拥抱生命的同时去反思生活和当代社会，既保持了对现实之真的关注关联也不断对影像语言艺术语言的具体研究，也许正是是荷兰艺术从17世纪的黄金时代再到当代的传承所带给我们的美学态度和生活智慧。
FOAM Photography Museum Amsterdam and The Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art co-sponsored the exhibition Still/Life - Dutch Contemporary Photography. In this exhibition, all the works are from the contemporary photography artist of Netherlands, which is a series of photography group exhibition about the concept of still life. From the flowers and fruits of the classical period to the minimalist industrial products of the modernism period, the theme that still life is as a prop for supporting life and in order to symbolize the metaphor of life is constantly re-interpreted as a photography classic type. Focusing on still life gives younger generation photographers of Holland a way to think the forms of contemporary visual concept. Here are discussions of the image of the object viewed, and also the deep thoughts on the contemporary issues and formal language. It is a combination of space, entity, images, color, light, and geometric abstractions. Then it converts from the life field to the image of the art scene. And through the combinations of video, installation, exhibition site, it uses humor and witty ridicule creating an obvious and fresh style of Dutch photography visual ID. It also attracts more attentions and more gained international honors for the Dutch photographers' creative influence.
Still life paintings are praised as the genre paintings of everyday life. It is a spiritual traditions and cultural heritage of Dutch art since a very early time. From the beginning of 17th century, Dutch paintings have been continued with such values. When democracy and freedom get rid of the shackles of the church and the court, the artists pay more investment to praise the secular life, human freedom and liberation. When the vessel shell flower fruit are no longer the embellishment background for the character, and they are no longer just the food of the saints, then they become independent existence still life subject, and they earn praise aesthetic freedom and life affirmation again. The love and passion for secular life is just as strong as the blooming of Dutch Golden Tulip. Hals, Rembrandt, Vermeer are the most prominent representative of artists of Dutch school since the 17th century. They uphold the history of Flemish painting history, and they were influenced by Rubens and Bruegel. Portraits, still life painting and landscapes custom painting are the best expression of the Dutch people to their national temperament. They are optimistic, kind, brave, happy and romantic, and they are enjoyable to praise and feel pride to extraordinary things. The level of aesthetic culture to the things is beyond the moral dimension of ethics, so that it makes the things out of the subsidiary everyday things and gains an independent value of subjectivity. Potatoes, this kind of still life photography works even remind us of the famous Dutch painter Van Gogh’s painting: The Potato Eaters, this painting is a continuation of the work style of the same strain of the Dutch custom painting in real life concerns of history. And it become a realistic allegory, potato, this trivialization of life is treated as carefully as a contemporary classic fine jewelry products. It is a accidental guide for people, and a non-poetic presence gaze attention, so that the everyday objects of mediocrity which contains beauty can return to life site and regain the respect for the secular.
Whether the inside of still life photography is the concretization or abstract thing to find goodness truth of life, the inheritance to the details, the process-oriented and embrace life and reflect on life and contemporary society is maintaining the reality of the real concerns associated and the study of visual specific artistic language, and it maybe the heritage aesthetic attitude and life wisdom from golden age of Dutch art from the 17th century and then brought to our time.

Anne de Vries（海牙，1977）2002年从阿姆斯特丹的格瑞特雷伏德学院毕业。在这之前他参加过纽约久负盛名的库伯联盟艺术学院的交换项目，在那期间，他的作品在很多艺术和时尚相关的展览、书本以及杂志上出现过，其中包括阿姆斯特丹的Foam摄影博物馆, W139画廊和纽约的汉普顿视野录像节。在2007年他担任阿纳姆时尚双年展的客席策划，他的作品被荷兰Foam摄影博物馆和温特图尔照片博物馆所收藏。
Anne de Vries (Den Haag, 1977) graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 2002. Previous to that he followed an exchange program at the prestigious Cooper Union Art academy in New York. In the course of the years his work has been shown in various art and fashion related exhibitions, books and magazines, including Foam, W139 in Amsterdam and the Scope Hampton Video Festival in New York. He guest curated the Arnhem Mode Biennale in 2007. His work is included in several collections, such as the collection of Foam and Photo museum Winterthur.

Maurice Scheltens and Liesbeth Abbenes work together as an artist duo. During the past eleven years they exhibited work in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam in 2000, Galerie van Zomeren in Amsterdam in 2004, GEM in Den Haag in 2006, W139 in Amsterdam in 2008, Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam in 2010, amongst others. Their work is published in magazines such as Wallpaper, Volkskrant Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Fantastic Man en l’Officiel. Scheltens & Abbenes realized assignments for clients such as Adidas, Hermes, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger and Viktor & Rolf.
Qiu Yang（北京，1981）于2007年毕业于阿姆斯特丹格瑞特雷伏德学院，他在很多杂志上发表了自己的作品，例如《Capricious》, 《Livraison》 和《Photonews》，并且在很多地方展出过他的作品，2010年在阿姆斯特丹摄影中心，2009年在柏林的MK画廊，2008年在温特图尔摄影博物馆，2006年在阿姆斯特丹W139画廊。
Qiu Yang (Beijing, 1981) graduated the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 2007.
